NAGOMI
Nagomi – a Japanese word for tranquility, harmony, and a sense of inner peace.
On my journey to Japan, I came across the beautiful, organic magatama shapes, which hold a very special place in Japanese history. Magatama have been used in Japan since ancient times and were worn, among other things, as amulets and symbols of protection. Traditionally, people have also tied their wishes to a magatama and carried it close to them.
I was particularly drawn to the green magatama in green agate – the vibrant, deep green color and the soft, almost fluid shape.
Green agate is traditionally associated with harmony, balance, tranquility, and renewal – a symbolism that fits beautifully with the name Nagomi.
During my trip to Japan, I personally selected just a few of the green magatama and brought them home to create some beautiful designs. Therefore, Nagomi is not just a piece of jewelry, but also a small memento from Japan and a story about carrying something with you that symbolizes tranquility, protection, and good wishes.
The green agate pendant hangs on a fine chain of small 2 mm agate stones, which gives a light and delicate look. The clasp and extension chain are made of gold-plated 925 Sterling silver, and the chain can be adjusted from 42.5-47.5 cm.
Nagomi is available with two different sizes of magatama pendant: 10 mm or 15 mm in length.
A little piece of Japan. A symbol of tranquility. And a wish you can carry with you.
