FANTASY LACE

FANTASY LACE is a handmade bracelet with natural lace agate in a very special, delicate pastel blue shade. The light, almost powdery blue color gives the stone a calm and dreamy appearance, while the fine, natural patterns inside the stone resemble delicate lace woven into each individual bead. Every stone is unique, so the pattern varies from bead to bead.

Between each agate, I have placed a small 2 mm faceted rock crystal and tied a knot in the strong silk cord. I use silk cord instead of wire because it is incredibly strong, while the knots between the stones allow them to move without unnecessarily rubbing against each other or the cord.

The special knotting technique between each individual stone makes the bracelet more flexible and durable, but also means that it takes an incredibly long time to make. Every single stone must be placed and knotted by hand, one by one.

The result is a feminine and vibrant bracelet where the fine, natural patterns of the lace agate are allowed to take center stage. A piece of jewelry that feels both simple and special – and of which no two are exactly alike.

The clasp and extender chain are made of gold-plated 925 sterling silver. The bracelet is adjustable and measures 18.5–23 cm.
